State approved Phlebotomy Technician training program is designed to prepare you to take the National Exam. Phlebotomy technicians provide critical support to clinical practitioners, collecting and analyzing blood specimens.
Our Phlebotomy technician Training program will teach all aspects related to this growing field. The subjects covered in our Phlebotomy training class will include, but not limited to how to conduct patient interviews, verify medical records, take vital signs, obtain blood samples through venipuncture and micro collection, prepare blood specimens for laboratory analysis, and test and analyze blood samples.
Objectives of Course
To be eligible for Phlebotomy Technician job opportunities in hospitals, doctor’s offices, medical and diagnostic laboratories, community health clinics, and blood banks as a Phlebotomist.
Upon completion of the Phlebotomy technician training program, students will be eligible to take the National Certification for Phlebotomy Technician Exam for $115 at our office.
Documentation Needed Within First Two (2) Weeks of Class
- 18 years of age
- Criminal background check within one (1) month of first day of class; felonies and certain mis-demeanors will prevent admission (can be done at the office for $20)
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- BLS – Health Care Provider version of CPR – ACI offers for $70
- Government issued photo ID and Social security card
Total Clock hours: 72
Daytime: 6 weeks, 12 Classroom days
Tuesday & Thursday: 9:00am – 4:00pm
Evening: 6 weeks, 18 Classroom days
Monday, Wednesday, & Friday: 5:30pm – 9:30pm
Weekend: 8 weeks, 16 Classroom days
Saturday and Sunday: 9:00am – 1:30pm
