The PCT training you will receive at ACI includes, but not limited to: blood pressure, heart rate, pulse, administer medications, and acquiring blood samples. Internship and lab is completed at the school, and includes a successful number of EKG’s run and interpreted.

Objectives of Course

Upon completion of the Patient Care Technician program, students will be eligible to take the National PCT, Phlebotomy and Electrocardiogram (EKG) Exam at ACI.  Once nationally certified, you will find Patient Care Technician (PCT) job opportunities in hospitals, doctor’s offices, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities.

Hello, How much is the PCT classes?. Also, how often are the classes giving? I’m already a CNA and have been for the past 26 years. I have taken the phlebotomy and graduated but never worked in the field and had on-the-job training for EKGs. Needless to say I’m interested in the PCT class but not until beginning of next year when I’ve moved back to my home state of Georgia.

    Thank You!

I’m moving from out of state where i am currently a PCT. I would like to take the class there. What would be my requirements to enroll?

  9. Lily Reply

I am in school for my GED, can i enroll or would i have to wait first?

    • ACI Reply

Good afternoon. You can for sure enroll in the PCT course, you would need to wait until you had completed your GED in order to take the National Exam. We are having an open house tomorrow, and the application fee will be $25 instead of $100. Would you like to come by the school for a tour of the program?

    • ACI Reply

Thank you for your inquiry. You can enroll in the PCT classes, however you would need to have your GED in order to take the National PCT exam.

Would you like to visit the school for a tour of the program?
